1.Chunxi Road, Chengdu
Chunxi Road, located in the center of Chengdu, is known as the “No. 1 Street in the Southwest”. At night, neon lights flicker along Chunxi Road, and many well-known Chengdu snacks and bustling shopping malls are lined up on both sides of the road. It is the prosperous and modern fashion center of Chengdu.
2.Wuhou Temple
The Wuhou Temple, which consists of the temples where Liu Bei, Zhuge Liang and other Shu Han monarchs and ministers were worshipped together, and the Liu Bei Hui Mausoleum, is the only temple in my country where the monarch and ministers are worshipped together. In addition to the main hall where the statues of Zhuge Liang and Liu Bei are enshrined, there is also a stele of “Three Wonders” erected in the Tang Dynasty. The inscription on the stele is a high evaluation of Zhuge Liang’s life. Because the writing, carving and drafting of the inscription were all done by famous masters at that time, it was praised as “Three Wonders”.
3.Du Fu Thatched Cottage
Du Fu Thatched Cottage is located on the bank of Huanhua Creek in the western suburbs of Chengdu, Sichuan Province. Du Fu, courtesy name Zimei, was born in Gong County, Henan Province in the first year of Xiantian reign of Emperor Xuanzong of Tang Dynasty. He died of illness on a boat in Xiangjiang River in the fifth year of Dali reign of Emperor Daizong. Because he once served as an official in the Ministry of Works, he was later called “Du Gongbu”.
4.Wide and Narrow Alleys
Kuanxiang and Zhaixiang are two parallel alleys in the northwest of Chengdu city center, the wider one is called “Kuanxiangzi” and the narrower one is called “Zhaixiangzi”. Kuanxiangzi, which is less than 300 meters long, is the only old street block in Chengdu that has preserved its original appearance from the Qing Dynasty. Dozens of courtyard houses in the late Qing and early Ming styles and garden buildings with Western style have unique characteristics of the times, witnessing the development of Chengdu over the past century.
5.Wuming Buddhist College
Larung Gar Buddhist Academy in Seda, Sichuan is the largest Tibetan Buddhist academy in the world. The academy is located in a ravine called Larung Valley, more than 20 kilometers away from Seda County. The ravine is about 7 kilometers long, with continuous ridges, quiet valleys, lush green grass on the hills; the sky is blue, white clouds gather, and wind horses fly; all are mahogany houses, which are adjacent to each other and breathtaking; the temple altars are golden and green, and the Buddhist halls are grand and spectacular.
6.Daocheng Yading
Daocheng Yading, namely the Yading Nature Reserve, also known as the Yading Scenic Area, is located in the southern part of Daocheng County, Ganzi Prefecture. It is mainly composed of the three sacred mountains of “Xiannairi, Yangmaiyong and Xianuoduoji” and the surrounding rivers, lakes and alpine meadows. It is one of the relatively well-preserved natural ecosystems in China.
7.Jiuzhaigou Valley
Jiuzhaigou is located in Jiuzhaigou County, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. It is located in the transition zone from the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, the western Sichuan Plateau, and the mountains to the Sichuan Basin. It is a valley with a depth of more than 50 kilometers and a forest coverage rate of more than 80%. It is named because there are nine Tibetan villages such as Shuzheng Village, Heye Village, and Zecha Village located in this group of alpine lakes. “After returning from Jiuzhaigou, you will never look at water again” is a true interpretation of the scenery of Jiuzhaigou.
8.Mount Emei
Mount Emei is one of the four famous Buddhist mountains in my country. It is located in the south-central part of Sichuan and in the Emei area on the southwestern edge of the Sichuan Basin. It is higher than the Five Sacred Mountains and is the most beautiful in the world. Among the famous mountains in my country, Mount Emei can be said to be the highest one. The highest peak, Wanfoding, is 3,099 meters above sea level. Mount Emei has long been famous for its beautiful natural scenery and mythical Buddhist sites. It is ancient, magical, majestic and beautiful. Its mountains are winding, with thousands of rocks and ravines, waterfalls and streams, and are strangely beautiful and elegant, so it is known as “Emei is the most beautiful in the world”.
9.Danba
Located in Donggu Township, 21 kilometers southwest of Danba County, the clear water of the Yak River flows happily here. The valley is rich in plant resources, the primeval forest covers the sky, and there are strange peaks and rocks everywhere. The steep water and rock waterfalls thunder, and the numerous lakes and hot springs scattered here and there are gems in the mountains. People praise this place as a natural bonsai. Danba Tibetan Village Danba Tibetan Village and Diaolou are in the same architectural style, and it is the most distinctive among the Jiarong mountain villages.
10.Mount Gongga
Mount Gongga is located on the eastern edge of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, at the boundary between Kangding and Luding counties in Sichuan Province. It is the main peak of the Daxue Mountain in the Hengduan Mountains, with an altitude of 7,556 meters, 141.8 degrees east longitude, and 29.6 degrees north latitude. It is the highest peak in Sichuan Province and is known as the “King of Mountains”. Mount Gongga is one of the peaks with the most developed glaciers in China. Mount Gongga is a popular destination for mountaineering and alpine tourism.
11.Leshan Giant Buddha
The Leshan Giant Buddha is a national key cultural relic protection unit, a world cultural and natural heritage, a national scenic spot, one of the top 40 tourist attractions in China, and a national 4A tourist area. The cultural and natural landscapes of the scenic area are unique. There is an ancient saying that “go up to Mount Emei and go down to Mount Lingyun”. The world-famous Leshan Giant Buddha is carved on the rock wall at the confluence of the Minjiang River, Qingyi River, and Dadu River. It is a sitting statue of Maitreya.
12.Deng Xiaoping’s Former Residence in Guang’an
Deng Xiaoping’s former residence is located in the old courtyard of the Deng family in Paifang Village, Xiexing Town, Guang’an District. It is an ordinary farmhouse three-sided courtyard. Above the main door of the former residence hangs a golden horizontal plaque inscribed by the Chairman “Comrade Deng Xiaoping’s Former Residence”. The former residence displays a large number of precious pictures, divided into eight parts: “Revolutionary Years”, “Founding of the People’s Republic of China”, “Years of the New Era”, “Foreign Affairs Activities”, “Sharing Weal and Woe”, “’92 Southern Tour”, and “Colorful Interests”, showing the great man’s glorious revolutionary journey and unparalleled achievements.
13.Beichuan Qiangcheng Tourist Area
Located in Beichuan Qiang Autonomous County, Mianyang City, it consists of Beichuan Earthquake Relics Area, Beichuan New County, Beichuan Earthquake Memorial Hall, Beichuan Qiang Folk Museum, Gina Qiang Village, West Visitor Center and other attractions. Beichuan is the only Qiang Autonomous County in China. For thousands of years, the ancient Qiang people have lived and multiplied with 17 other ethnic groups including Han, Tibetan, Hui, etc. in Beichuan, forming a simple and profound folk culture.
14.Mount Qingcheng
The birthplace of Chinese Taoism and the ancestral mountain of Tianshi Dao, it embodies the essence of Chinese Taoist culture and is listed as the “Fifth Cave Heaven” by Taoism. Dozens of temples are still well preserved. It can be said that Qingcheng Mountain is a living Taoist “museum” that has spanned thousands of years. The mountains and forests here are deep, the ancient roads are quiet, the mountain flowers are fragrant, the birds are singing, the pavilions are elegant, and the streams are clear, so it has the reputation of “Qingcheng is the most secluded place in the world”.
15.Langzhong Ancient City
Langzhong is located in the northeast of Sichuan. It is known as a Feng Shui treasure land. It is surrounded by mountains on three sides and water on four sides. The scenery is beautiful and picturesque. Langzhong is one of the four best preserved ancient cities in the country and the only ancient city in Sichuan Province that is protected by legislation. Langzhong has a profound cultural heritage and many scenic spots and historical sites. It is a national historical and cultural city. Langzhong is one of the birthplaces of the original Chinese culture, the main birthplace of Ba culture, the folk astronomy research center of the Han and Tang Dynasties, and the hometown of Sichuan’s top scholar.
16.Hailuogou
Hailuogou Glacier Forest Park Hailuogou is 319 kilometers away from Chengdu. It originates from a glacier valley on the east side of Gongga Mountain, the king of Shu Mountains, and flows from southwest to north into Moshi River, a tributary of Dadu River. The most fascinating thing about Hailuogou is the glaciers in Hailuogou. At a lower altitude, you can see the glaciers pouring down from the high canyon. In particular, the large ice waterfall is more than 1,000 meters high and magnificent. Standing at the foot of the mountain, looking at the Gongga Snow Mountain, which is covered with snow all year round, is magnificent and awe-inspiring.
17.Jianmen Shu Road
Jianmen Shu Road is really a rare good tourist route. This route is not only amazing in terms of cultural landscape and historical value, but also in terms of natural appreciation value. Some people have listed the unique landscape of Cuiyun Corridor as the eighth wonder of the world. You can imagine its charm. This route is less affected by the seasons and can be visited in spring, summer, autumn and winter.
18.Siguniang Mountain
Siguniang Mountain is located at the junction of Xiaojin County and Wenchuan County. It is composed of four adjacent peaks in the Hengduan Mountains. According to the legend of local Tibetans, it is the incarnation of four pure and innocent girls, hence the name Siguniang Mountain. Siguniang Mountain is famous for its majestic and upright height. The mountain is steep and points directly to the blue sky. It is covered with ice and snow and shines with silver light. The foothills are densely forested, covered with green grass, and clear streams are constantly flowing, just like a beautiful southern European scenery. It is known as the “Chinese Alps”.
19.Sanxingdui
Located in the north of Nanxing Town, Guanghan, Sichuan, the ancient Mamu River meanders through, forming a crescent-like bend in Sanxingdui Village – Moon Bay. On the south bank of the river are three undulating loess piles facing it, which is the “Three Stars and Moon Pile” recorded in the “Jiaqing Hanzhou Chronicles” of the Qing Dynasty. This is the place where the ancient Shu ancestors lived and multiplied – the world-famous Sanxingdui ruins.
20.Luoji Mountain
Located on the south bank of Qionghai Lake, it is named after its shape resembling a snail bun. There are 36 deep pools and beautiful lakes of different colors in the mountain, rich subtropical plants, intact remains of ancient glaciers, rhododendrons all over the mountain, as well as caves, waterfalls and other colorful and unique landscapes. Luoji Mountain can be called the “great man” among the mountains. The whole mountain is majestic and green, with overlapping peaks and magnificent momentum. There is a saying in the world that “Emei is the most beautiful in the world, and Luoji is the most amazing in the world”, and “Luoji Mountain is open, and Emei Mountain is closed”, which shows that.
