1.Confucius Temple Qinhuai Scenic Area
The Confucius Temple Qinhuai Scenic Area is located in Qinhuai District, Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province. The saying “In the old days, the swallows flew in front of the halls of the wealthy and the poor, and now fly into the homes of ordinary people” refers to the Qinhuai River area centered on the Confucius Temple. Here you can see the historical buildings of the ancient capital of Nanjing, eat authentic Qinhuai snacks, and go boating on the Qinhuai River to experience the local customs and people. The attractions here include the Confucius Temple, Zhanyuan, Jiangnan Imperial Examination Hall, Li Xiangjun’s Former Residence, Wuyi Lane, Bailuzhou Park, Wengcheng Zhonghua Gate, and Wu Jingzi’s Former Residence.
2.Zhongshan Scenic Area
Zhongshan Scenic Area is located in Xuanwu District, Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province. Zhongshan is one of the most famous scenic spots in Nanjing. Zhongshan is 448.9 meters above sea level. There are three major scenic spots on the mountain from west to east: Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum, Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum, and Linggu Temple.
3.Suzhou Gardens
Suzhou Gardens are located in Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province. Suzhou has always been known as “the best gardens in Jiangnan, and the best gardens in Suzhou”. There are nearly 200 gardens of various sizes in Suzhou City. Among them, Canglang Pavilion, Lion Grove, Humble Administrator’s Garden and Lingering Garden represent the artistic styles of the Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties respectively, and are known as Suzhou’s “Four Famous Gardens”.
4.Wuzhong Taihu Lake Tourist Area
Suzhou Wuzhong Taihu Lake Tourist Area is located on the shore of Taihu Lake in Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province. Wuzhong Taihu Lake Tourist Area includes three major scenic areas: Qionglong Mountain, Wangshan Mountain, and Dongshan Mountain, with a total of eight scenic spots, namely Qionglong Mountain, Wangshan Mountain, Taihu Park, and Luxiang Ancient Village, Diaohua Tower, Zijin Temple, Qi Garden, and Sanshan Island belonging to Dongshan Mountain.
5.Zhouzhuang Ancient Town
Zhouzhuang Ancient Town, located in Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province, is a small town in the south of the Yangtze River, known as “China’s No. 1 Water Town”. There are many scenic spots and historical sites such as Shen Ting, Zhang Ting, Mi Lou, Ye Chucang’s former residence, Chengxu Taoist Temple, and Quanfu Temple. There are many ancient bridges, and stone bridges built in the Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties are still preserved.
6.Tongli Ancient Town
Tongli Ancient Town, located in Wujiang District, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province, is one of the six ancient towns in the south of the Yangtze River. It was first built in the Song Dynasty and has a history of more than 1,000 years. Surrounded by five lakes, the ancient town is divided into seven islands by a network of rivers. There are many waters, many bridges, many Ming and Qing Dynasty buildings, and many celebrities and scholars. It looks ancient, but it is combined with modernity.
7.Jinji Lake
Jinji Lake Scenic Area, located in Suzhou Industrial Park, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province, is the largest inner-city lake in China. Ligong Dike is the only long dike in Jinji Lake, Suzhou, which retains the traditional Suzhou residential architectural form. There is also the Ligong Dike International Style Commercial Water Street nearby.
8.Yushan Shanghu
Shajiabang. Yushan Shanghu Tourist Area is located in Changshu City, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province. It is an important part of Taihu Lake Scenic Area and is also known as “Shanghu Bay”. It is dominated by seven natural landscapes such as Hexiangzhou, Diaoyuzhu, Taohua Island, etc. There are islands in the lake and lakes in the islands. It is a swamp wetland dominated by pond cypress, which has become the main habitat for wintering birds.
9.Slender West Lake
The Slender West Lake Scenic Area, located in Yangzhou City, Jiangsu Province, enjoys the reputation of “the most prosperous garden in the world”. The Slender West Lake is characterized by its “thinness”. The lake surface is sometimes wide and sometimes narrow, with lush trees on both sides and ancient and colorful garden buildings. The wind pavilion on the Wuting Bridge is very southern in style. On a full moon night, each of the fifteen bridge holes contains a moon, and the Twenty-Four Bridges extend the beautiful scenery of a long rainbow lying on the waves.
10.Yuantouzhu
Taihu Yuantouzhu Scenic Area is located in Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province. Yuantouzhu is a peninsula in the northern part of Taihu Lake. It is named after its shape resembling a floating turtle with its head raised. It is known as the “No. 1 Scenic Spot in Taihu Lake”. There are Taoist palaces and Taoist and Buddhist grotto statues on the island, as well as many historical sites and private gardens built by celebrities and dignitaries in the past.
11.Wuxi Lingshan
Wuxi Lingshan Scenic Area is located on the shore of Taihu Lake in Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province. It is backed by Xiaoling Mountain, with Qinglong Mountain on the left, Baihu Mountain on the right, Qingfeng Peak in the north, and Taihu Lake in the south. In Feng Shui theory, it is called “unmoved by eight winds, sitting upright on purple gold lotus” and is a very auspicious place. Xiaoling Mountain, the thousand-year-old Xiangfu Zen Temple built in the Tang Dynasty, and the world’s tallest Sakyamuni Buddha – Lingshan Buddha are the essence of Lingshan.
12.Three Kingdoms Water Margin Film and Television City
The Three Kingdoms and Water Margin Film and Television City is part of the CCTV Wuxi Film and Television Base. It is located on the shore of Taihu Lake in Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province. The scenic area is divided into two parts, the Three Kingdoms City and the Water Margin City. The Three Kingdoms City scenic spot has built attractions with film and television cultural characteristics and a strong Han Dynasty style, such as the Wu Palace, Ganlu Temple, Caoying Water and Drought Village, Wuying, the Seven Star Altar, the Racecourse, the Dianjiangtai, Taoyuan, the Nine Palaces and Eight Diagrams Formation, the Fire Burning Red Cliff Stunt Field, the Arena, and the Red Cliff Ancient Plank Road. The Water Margin City landscape can be divided into three major parts: the Prefecture and County District, the Capital District, and the Liangshan District.
13.Huishan Ancient Town
Huishan Ancient Town Scenic Area is located in Liangxi District, Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province. Huishan has been known as the “No. 1 Mountain in Jiangnan” since ancient times. Emperors Kangxi and Qianlong visited Huishan seven times during their six visits to Jiangnan. Huishan Ancient Town Scenic Area is formed by the merger of Xihui Scenic Area and Huishan Historical and Cultural Block. It is divided into four tourist areas based on regional functions: Cultural Relics and Historic Sites Area, Xihui Scenic Area, Historical and Cultural Block and Mountain Forest Protection Area.
14.Maoshan Scenic Area
Maoshan Scenic Area is located in Jurong City, Zhenjiang City, Jiangsu Province. The Great Mao Peak, the Second Mao Peak, and the Third Mao Peak are arranged from south to north. The highest peak (main peak) is 372.5 meters above sea level. Maoshan is the birthplace of the Shangqing School of Taoism. It was originally named Juqu Mountain. It was named Maoshan because the three brothers of the Mao family in Shaanxi Province, Mao Ying, Mao Gu, and Mao Zhong, practiced here in the Western Han Dynasty.
15.Sanshan Scenic Area
Zhenjiang Sanshan Scenic Area, located in Zhenjiang City, Jiangsu Province, has a unique style of “real mountains and real water”. It consists of Jinshan Scenic Area, Jiaoshan Scenic Area and Beigushan Scenic Area, which have different scenery. Jinshan has been said to be “Jinshan Temple wrapped in the mountain”. Jiaoshan is known as the “Water Park” in the south of the Yangtze River and is known as “Floating Jade in the River”. Beigushan is known as “the first mountain in Jingkou”.
16.Tianmu Lake
Tianmu Lake Tourism Resort is located in Liyang City, Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province. There are two large national reservoirs, Shahe and Daxi, in the area. Because it belongs to the remnant of Tianmu Mountain, it is named “Tianmu Lake”. There are many historical and cultural sites around Tianmu Lake: Wuyuan Mountain, named after Wu Zixu, a Chu man in the Spring and Autumn Period, the reading platform of Cai Yong, a great writer in the Eastern Han Dynasty, Taibai Tower, Baoen Zen Temple, the former site of Longxing Temple, a famous temple in the Tang Dynasty, and “the world’s first stone arch dam”.
17.Yancheng in the Spring and Autumn Period
The Spring and Autumn Yancheng Tourism Area is located in Wujin District, Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province. It is divided into five major areas: the Spring and Autumn Yancheng Ruins, Yancheng Spring and Autumn Paradise, Yancheng Wildlife World, Yancheng Traditional Commercial Street and Yancheng Baolin Zen Temple. By recreating the humanistic scenes, it fully interprets the splendid history and culture of the Spring and Autumn Period and actively builds the Chinese Spring and Autumn cultural brand. “See Beijing in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Xi’an in the Sui and Tang Dynasties, and Yancheng in the Spring and Autumn Period.”
18.Qinhu National Wetland Park
Jiangsu Jiangyan Qinhu National Wetland Park, located in Jiangyan District, Taizhou City, Jiangsu Province, has a large lake and crisscrossing rivers, with aquatic plants and reeds everywhere. Elk, water birds and other animals can also be seen in the park. It is said that this was the hometown of elk in ancient times.
19.Huaguoshan
Huaguo Mountain, located in Haizhou District, Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province, is a landmark building in Lianyungang. The Water Curtain Cave, Laojun Hall, Immortal Bridge, and Nantianmen, all of which appeared in the story of Journey to the West, can be found here. The Yunv Peak on the top of the mountain is the highest peak in Jiangsu Province. You can overlook a sea of clouds, and the exposed peak is like the Penglai Fairy Island in the sea.
20.Chinese Elk Park
The Chinese Elk Park, located in Dafeng District, Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province, is the largest wetland in eastern Asia and the semi-primitive wetland with the best preserved ancient habitat on the west coast of the Pacific Ocean. The Chinese Elk Park is the only national 5A-level tourist attraction in the world with the theme of “wetland ecology and elk protection”. It is also the world’s largest wild elk park with the largest population. Its landforms are composed of woodlands, reed marshes, grasslands, swamps, and salt bare land. It is a typical marine tidal wetland. The reserve breeds 315 species of birds, 12 species of mammals, 27 species of amphibians and reptiles, 156 species of fish, 90 species of zooplankton, 599 species of insects, and 499 species of plants. The Chinese Elk Park is divided into three major parks: “Elk Viewing Area”, “Natural Ecological Area” and “Elk Cultural Area”.
21.Zhou Enlai’s hometown
The Zhou Enlai Hometown Tourist Scenic Area is located in Huai’an District, Huai’an City, Jiangsu Province. It is the place where the great leader Zhou Enlai studied and grew up in his childhood. He spent the first twelve years of his life here. It was also here that he gradually developed the ideal of “studying for the rise of China.”
22.Haohe Scenic Area
Nantong Haohe Scenic Area is located in Nantong City, Jiangsu Province. Haohe River is a relatively well-preserved ancient moat in China. There are many scenic spots on both sides of the river, including Tianning Temple, an ancient temple in the Tang Dynasty, Beiji Pavilion, a relic of the ancient city wall of Nantong, Wenfeng Tower, an ancient tower in the Ming Dynasty, and Nantong Museum, China’s first public museum.
23.Hongze Lake Wetland Scenic Area
Hongze Lake Wetland Scenic Area is located in Sihong County, Suqian City, Jiangsu Province. The scenic area is divided into five major tourist areas, namely the wetland cultural experience area represented by the reed maze, the wetland science interactive area represented by the Hongze Lake Aquarium, the wetland plant display area represented by the Qianhe Garden, the wetland ecological health area represented by the deep breathing channel and the wetland resort and leisure area represented by the wetland resort.
24.Yunlong Lake Scenic Area
Xuzhou Yunlong Lake Scenic Area is located in Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province. Yunlong Lake is located in the center of the city. There are Yunlong Mountain in the east of the lake, Zhu Mountain in the south of the lake, Xiaochang Mountain and Woniu Mountain in the west of the lake. Su Shi, a writer in the Northern Song Dynasty, fell in love with this lake when he was the governor of Xuzhou.
